This one-of-a-kind ceramic cup is slab-built and hand-painted, perfect for enjoying your favorite coffee, tea, or everyday beverage.
Inspired by my home, friends, and everyday surroundings, each cup tells a story through its illustrated surface. Once the cup is built, I carefully incise my drawings into the clay. After the first firing, I sand the surface and hand-paint my illustrations with three to four layers of underglaze (ceramic paint) to bring them to life. I then finish the cup with a clear glaze on the exterior and a colored celadon glaze on the interior, then fire it to cone 6 (approximately 2232°F).
Care Instructions:
This cup is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. However, to keep it looking its best, I recommend handwashing or placing it on the top rack of the dishwasher and avoiding the heated drying cycle.
